About the Site

What's in a name?
So the question is: how did I come up with the name "imagine" for the website? Well, after looking at the lyrics for "You Get Me" I saw the line "..in my imagination, anything goes." I thought that this title would be good for year-round. I can make up different themes if I want to, or whatever comes out of my imagination and creativity. I really am going to stick with this title.

Past Layouts

1.0 - shooting star : This layout wasn't anything special, and it definately was asking to be changed. I just used this one to get the site up. Plus, hardly anyone visited the website when this one was up.. it was literally one of the first Michelle Branch websites.

2.0 - imagine : The website was destined for a change, and this one served it well. I liked the theme, and graphics that this website had. It was really a step up from the first one. Thanks Tori for making the splash graphic for this version.

3.0 - dream: This was a simple layout because I got an idea for a new theme, and I just had to make a quick layout. I got the idea from a line from one of Hanson's brand new songs. "Dreaming is not so hard, once you've found your shooting star." Also, Michelle is living her dream now. She has found her shooting star. I just thought that the theme fit Michelle and her music.

4.0 - platinium: This was my first attempt with a pop-up layout, and I must say, it came out very well. I'm proud of myself that I made it all by myself. Thanks Tori, for telling me how to go about making it. hehe. I got the idea for it just from writing a poem entitled "platinium." You can read it on the 'poems' page. The picture of Michelle looking out the window completed the layout because it's like she is invisioning platinium. :) hehe.

5.0 - live version- For this one, I brought back the layout that I used for version 2 because I had liked it so much. I saw Michelle live on August 4th, and she puts on amazing, fun shows. So I decided to share the pictures that I took, and incorporate them into my site and that came to be "the live version" of Imagine.

6.0 - imagine- Another pop up layout. It doesn't really have a theme. I just used quotes from two of the songs on "The Spirit Room" that I liked.

7.0 - u set me free- At the time when I made it, I liked it.. but now, I'm thinking about changing it sometime soon when I have the time.

8.0- the blue taylor- This layout featured Michelle's famous blue Taylor 614ce guitar.. A beauty, isn't it?

9.0- this layout wasn't anything special...the website needed a change, and it never really got worked on when it had this layout.

10.0- the website got much more simpler with this layout. I had pictures and stories from my experiences seeing Michelle in concert, a TRL watch, music to check out, and links to other michelle sites. Its just easier to update it now when I'm not worrying about putting up all of the latest news when it happens.
