Freedom Weekend Aloft, Anderson, SC
May 26, 2002

So far, every time I have seen Michelle...its been extremely hot. In Anderson, it was like in the 90s and humid, blah! Luckily it cooled off a bit by the time Michelle took the stage. 38 Special played before Michelle, and they were pretty good...good 80s classic rock. The stage started to be set up for Michelle, and Jon Button was onstage so Eva, Lindsey, & I yelled his name and he smiled and waved. He is such a sweetheart. Anyway, I got front row again for Michelle, but too bad the venue sucked. The front row was like 30 feet away from the stage. Michelle had a killer outfit on. It was like a long white blouse, and jeans...as you see in the picture. She started with "Sweet Misery" and then "I'd Rather Be in Love." She also played: "Everywhere," "You Get Me," "You Set Me Free," "Standing on the Edge," "Goodbye To You," "Tell You About It," and "All You Wanted." They closed with the New Radicals cover "You Get What You Give" which was really good. I was a bit bummed because I didn't get to talk to Michelle...only through a third person. oh well. My friend gave Michelle this cd that I made of songs from this new band, Graham Colton. (Michelle, what do you think of it? lol) My friends & I actually made it back to the front for John Mayer. He always blows me away in concert. On his cd, you don't realize what a great guitarist he is. He's amazing. This show was his guitarist, Matt's last show, so they played their song "Break Away" which was really good. He ended with Neon. That song kicks some bootie live! The only thing I didn't like was having soda spilled on me from someone throwing their soda bottle that was half full. But the concert was awesome, and I can't wait to see Michelle and/or John again!

These are my pictures, so please don't take them without asking. Thanks!
